Over at My Sheri Crafts ITS A WRAP in more ways than one!!! :)  We are "wrapping" up the end of the year with some fun and making a craft that involves wrapping or dolling up a bag or tag for a Christmas gift! :)  I really enjoyed this challenge!!!!!!  I went traditional colors this go around in honor of my best friend and fellow DT member Sandy who came up with this challange idea! :)  She so loves Christmas and while can think out of the color "box" down deep she just plain loves the traditional ones the best!  LOVE YOU SANDY!!!

My Sheri Crafts Going Christmas!

 Over at My Sheri Crafts this week we are making a go at getting ready for Christmas in our crafting!!  Believe it or not yes my card is a Christmas card!!! :)  I had to have a lil fun and put in the one that seemed less like one to go with my nickname of Halloween Queen! My best friend each year receives cards from me throughout the year that are always Halloween themed no matter what the holiday! :)  Please come over and help us start celebrating!

Pumpkins n Apples

This week over at My Sheri Crafts we were challenged with making a card or project that included a pumpkin or apple.  I was torn between what to do but with time and life being as it is right now I went with a simple card that showed off this wonderful new die cut pumpkin!

FAMILY!

Over at My Sheri Crafts this go around we are celebrating FAMILY!!!!  This is a baby gift for my niece for her first child.......RILEY!!!! :)  The pic in the holder is my daughter, i used it as a prop! :)  The huge closepin comes from Michaels, it was a great clearance find!! The letters are from paper studio from HL.  The ribbon from HL.  Rose at bottom by paper studio from HL and last but not least the charm from the jewelry sections of yes.......Hobby Lobby! :)  Hmmmmm can you tell that is the closest craft store to me! :) 

My Sheri Crafts

Over at My Sheri Crafts this week we are celebrating the end of summer with a white on white challenge!  I do have to say that this is always a trick and major challenge for me as I can't seem to stay away from some bit of color!!! :) 

I of course apologize that I do not know the sizzix die cut name of the flower that I chose nor do I know the name of the cuttlebug embossing folder...I always rip the packages up and never think to write in on them anywhere!!

Back To School

Over at My Sheri Crafts this go around come and join in on the fun of going BACK TO SCHOOL!  We were challenged to come up with a project or card that dealt with going back to school.  I do have to confess that this is an actual bday present for a 2 year old but I am hoping it will give him lots to learn!  I started off with an unfinished wooden lap desk from Hobby Lobby and modge podged its way to this creation!!

All papers were bought at Hobby Lobby as well as all the lettered stickers and numbers.  I freehand cut the shapes for some additional learning!

Over at My Sheri Crafts this go around we are celebrating the ins and outs of forwards and backwards with folds!  There are so many different things you can do as our team has surely shown with such beauties!! 

This week I chose to make some rosettes and embellish them with buttons.  The ribbon is from one of our team members.  The stamp from the JUSTRITE stamps collections.  Come check us out and let us see what kind of greatness you can come up with!!!

JustRite Friday Challenge #74

This week over at JustRite Friday Challenge we are celebrating Father's Day!  This card is for my DH and as you can see it definitely isn't fancy by any means, but that's ok because he isn't a fancy kinda guy! :)  That's the one thing I love about him....no matter what he loves the cards I make him....no matter how disappointed I am in them, he enjoys them! 

On this card I used my JustRite Monogram with Damask Borders for the initials....

Hmmmmmm I gotta do something about getting more JustRite stamps they sure are gorgeous and makes it easier to join in on this fun!!!  If you have any of their stamps go join in on the fun!

My Sheri Crafts Challenge 87

This Challenge is all about those wonderful DAD's out there in the world, past or present, alive or gone on to a better place.  My dad I am thankful to say I still have with me in this world.  He is an amazing man full of such life and love.  He has such a great memory for details and I love sitting and listening to his stories.

This card is made simple for a good reason....my dad is a simple man but the things I do make him smile!

My Sheri Crafts Fun 'n the Sun

This week over at My Sheri Crafts our challenge was to make something that dealt with Summer and Fun n the Sun!  This card that I made this week was actually a b'day card made for my cousin who always loves getting my cards.  I wanted to make it extra special so I learned how to make the shadow box card.  The scene comes from the fact that he loves to go fishing and camping as well as it was the thing I did with my family when I was growing up every Summer.

Today I worked on some layouts for a baby book that will be going to someone quite special!!  I am hoping that she will not be on here and seeing them lol but either way I hope that she will love them and enjoy them for her baby pictures!!

This one i am going to add some cricut baby cuts after i get all the pages done will go back and "tweek" them!!  Sticker says sweet pea............

This go around over at My Sheri Crafts we are celebrating weddings and anniversaries.  In doing so we were challenged to use black, white and a splash of whatever extra color we wanted to show off our creations.  This is going to be an anniversary card for my future lists of cards that need to be given out! This time around I did a fold card that I'd never done before!  It was quite simple and ended up to be what I think is quite lovely and know the recipients are sure to enjoy it!

Today I got a chance to work on a sketch from over at Repeat Impressions Challenge:

My take on the sketch for this week over at CPS Challenge:

Over at Jingle Belles this past challenge it was all about Earth Day!  Challenge was to use scraps, recycle something normally wouldn't, and just plain have fun!  This is my card for this go around.....

Very simple sketch and idea behind this.....the part of it that makes it my EARTH day recycle project is the paper that the ornaments and sentiment is stamped on is from a pack of paper I got at the OKC Zoo a few years back.  It is made 100% out of Panda POO!!!  Yes, thats right....you read it right....lol....now who wants this card for Christmas?! LOL! :)  Line Forms here.......

This week over at My Sheri Crafts its all about Spring time with flowers and celebrating MOM!!  This particular flower is for my mom, who by the way is the BEST MOM IN THE WHOLE WORLD!!  Her favorite color is yellow so definitely had to incorporate it in the card.  I am more than blessed to have her still in my life and am every day amazed at how much she did and still does for all of us.  Her unconditional love is only one of the things that makes her the best!  She is very talented in her sewing, etc. she says that she doesn't know where i got the bug for scrapbooking, but is always impressed with what I come up with each time I show her my creations.

Today I spent some time with one of my Best Friends.....Sandy......where she is so so sweet and shared some of her new spellbinders, etc. that she has gotten since last we got together to craft, which BTW has been way too long!  I definitely didn't get all done that I wanted to but here are a few things I made with the cuts I was able to get from her.  Thanks Sandy....YOU R THE BEST!

This week over at JustRite Stampers Challenge it is all about the colors!!  With these colors we are challenged to make a creation using a JustRite stamp of our choice to doll up the colors provided by the wonderful ladies who run the challenge....and what a great set of spring colors to choose....reddish yellow, pink, and melon.  I was once again torn between the few stamps of theirs that I do have, however, did not want to miss out on all the fun!!  This is what I came up with and hope that you all enjoy it!

I started with a white base cardstock that I inked with Tim Holtz Distress Inks:  Spiced marmalade, Vintage Photo, and Tea Dye.

Circles were cut with the George and basic shapes Cricut cartridge.  One of them embossed with a floral patterned cuttlebug folder.
Leaf stems are a sizzix die cut.
Patterned paper is from a DCWV Rustic stack that have had for a long while now.
Pink Flower is a sizzix die cut as well and then sprayed with my homemade glimmer mist and shaped.
Yellow flower is from a cut off of Cricut Home decor cartridge and then also formed into the flower.
Brown flowers are made by cutting in circular pattern and then rolling them up to form the preferred size.
Gems are from HL bead designs found in the jewelry section.
Sentiment is from the Old Friends Set of JustRite Stamps that can be found at JustRite Stampers.

Over at My Sheri Crafts this week we are challenged to make a monogrammed project. I was in need of a card so this is what I came up with.....kinda on the simple side but hey sometimes you just need to go simple!!

Jingle Belles Challenge

The most recent challenge over at the Jingle Belles challenge was based on a sketch that was very simple but so many different things can be done with it....this is my interpretation!! :)

Always a good day to spend with NANA.....we get lots done!!! Am so happy that she has continued to learn and grow in her learning of the art of card making.....should get her a blog going so she can share her cards too!!

Just Rite Stamps Challenge #70

This past challenge at the JUST RITE STAMPS was to make a background for your card or creation using one of the stamps from Just Rite. Seeing how I did not have a background stamp yet I decided to have some fun and be quite creative and make my own!!

My Sheri Crafts March 31st

This week at My Sheri Crafts we are celebrating the 2 year b'day of the website. I have been honored this past session to be able to be a DT member and am looking forward to this new session! The team is made up of some amazing ladies with wonderful talent! We were all challenged with making a celebration card or project for a kiddo under the age of 5. My card went to the granddaughter of a dear friend from high school. She turned 2 this month and while I don't know her personally I get to live out knowing her thru the pics her Meemaw posts on FB! :)

My Sheri Crafts 3-17-12

Over at My Sheri Crafts this week we are celebrating Easter! Challenge was put forth to create something Easter themed and use pastels in our colors. This was quite difficult for me because i seem to use loud and proud colors, but in the end loved the way this came out!

Productive Day

Today found to be quite productive for me in the scrapbook world.....I went to my MIL and we had a full day!! These are made with sketches from Raq's Challenge on the MB.....go check it out, great set of ladies!! This isnt all of what I got done, but one other cant go up yet and the rest are layout pages that are a special project that is hush hush! :)
