Anniversary Glasses

Got a paying job.....that I am not used to!!! :) Am glad though that the person was confident enough in my crafting skills to allow me to do them! These are anniversary glasses for a couples 50th Anniversary in March. I got these 10 done to see what kind of time it was going to take to do them and now thinking that I will do 10 at a time so seems less like work! LOL! Have a total of 100 to do!!

As in the previous post our challenge at My Sheri Crafts was NEW projects. Well I got a wild hair and decided to do something else NEW!!! Saw these post-it holders and couldnt resist seeing what I could do with them. They make great lil gifts and don't cost much to make.

This week at My Sheri Crafts it was my turn to pick the theme! I was a bit stumped for quite a while I might add but then decided that since it was a NEW YEAR then it should be about NEW things. My Sheri Crafts this week challenged us to come up with a project that incorporated a CLOCK somewhere in what we created. This layout depicts a time in my grandparents life when they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary that is now a part of my heritage book that I started last year.

Today is "Twas The Nightmare Before Christmas" Poem.... Working in skulls, spiders, whatever to make the holiday a lil spooky..... Couldn't think of a whole lot to do with this one but the fact that a good friend loves the movie Nightmare Before Christmas and was in need of some ornaments for his tree.......these fun ones I came up with as a gift! Hoping he enjoys them as much as I did making them!!

This week I came up with these so far for Raq's Challenge! Today I spent the day with my MIL and Sandy where we learned how to use some Copic markers! These are two of the stamps I got colored and cards made from them.

Over at My Sheri Crafts we were challenged to do something that involved Christmas and if at all possible decorations! Wow.....me and all my layouts I had to think outta the box!! :) Think I did ok with the help of scraplifting the idea from a dear friend and far away scrapper....Carolyn from another challenge....not quite as elegant but hey I tried! :)

The base is made with single sheet paper from HobbyLobby.
The flowers are made with a pack of paper called Magic of the Season also from HL.
The snowflakes are made with Home Decor cart.
Inks are from paper studio also at HL.....can ya tell thats our only local crafting store! :)

Over at My Sheri Crafts this week it's all about SPORTS!! This page is dedicated to my nephew who is on the football team at Bethel College in North Newton, KS. Win or lose GOD gets all the glory!! Come on over and join in on the sporty fun we'd love to see what you can create!!

Page was bought at a store in KS as a single sheet. Football and helmet cut with Sports Mania cartridge.....goalpost I freehand drew!

Its all about Pumpkins!!!!!!! This is a layout I made for My Sheri Crafts to use for my nephew or friends kids in the pumpkin patches.....

I used as my layout base the Textured Affinity Collection green. The plaid was a single sheet from Hobby Lobby years ago. Cardstock for displaying picture was inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink....colors of Vintage Photo & Peeled Paint. Pumpkins created with cricut cartridge Georges ovals sized to my preference and then embossed with Sizzix embossing folders swirls and leaves. Sunflowers from Walmart years ago clearance section!! :) Ribbons from Hobby Lobby along with the glittered stickles that embellish the ribbon! WOW hope i didnt miss anything! LOL

I have been told repeatedly that I should sell my creations and so I decided to check out ETSY and hope that it will work out for me! My big sister says it is my start!!! Either way I will continue to enjoy making my stuff whether I get paid or not....but if it works out I will def be happier! LOL! So over at My Sheri's Crafts the challenge was to make an organic card....so what does that really mean? I have no clue......but this card is def "organic"......in the pic you see the embossed paper and the flowers?? Well that paper is from a stack that I bought a few years ago at a zoo....its made from Panda Poop! So, ya can't much more "organic" than that Sheri! :) LOVE IT!!!!

Gloria is a coworker that i have known for a long time and is very dear to me. She is a diabetic and is always trying to sneak candy and sweets when she thinks we are not looking! Well, we really keep an eye on her more than she thinks we do! I saw a similiar version from another cricut member and decided to make my own version to take to her.......of which, she absolutely loved it!
